Wait, why is Corsica independent? And why is part of the south-eastern Netherlands part of Germany?

Ignore that guy called User. I know the real answers to your question. Limburg, that part of Netherlands, seceded from it in 1919 then joined Germany in 1921. The Corsicans revolted against the French in 1918, then the Republic of Corsica was created. Italy annexed Corsica in 1925. This map is set in 1923.
